Truim Self Catering Cottage and Cairngorm National Park Gallery
Some views around Dalwhinnie, Speyside, Badenoch, Strathspey and the Cairngorm Mountains in the Cairngorms National Park
If you've lodged at Truim Cottage and want us to include a scenic photograph you have taken in the Highlands or Cairngorm National Park please email it to me with details, location and any comments you would like to add.

If you have ever been to Dalwhinnie you'll realise there is a definite sense of humour at play here. I wonder if there is a similar sign in Vegas?
Loch Ericht is Scotlands tenth largest fresh water loch and lies at a height of 351m ASL. It is over 14 miles long, runs through some stunning countryside and runs SW to NE terminating at the dam at Dalwhinnie. The loch is excellent for trout fishing and has some lovely walking and cycling alongside.

Culra bothy is a 3-4 hour walk (9 miles) from Dalwhinnie making a great day out in the Cairngorm Mountains. Use our mountain bikes to shave several hours of your trip if planning to climb Ben Alder.

Me on a cycle run from Truim Cottage.
The largest herd of Red Deer I've ever seen in Scotland was seen near here, there must have been well over 200.
Thanks to Archie Lang for this photo.

Ben Alder. Cycle in to Culra bothy for a perfect day on one of the remotest highland Munroes.
Thanks to Rob Lawson for this Photo.
Thanks to the Ellis Family for sharing these great snowy pictures of Christmas 2009 with us. No problem with ammunition for snowball fights then?

Dalwhinnie Single Malt 15, 18... years old.
The distillery has a great visitors centre and is a 5-10 minute walk from Truim Cottage. Dalwhinnie is one of the Classic Malts and one of my favourites.
We hope to add to these pictures of around Speyside and Badenoch and Strathspey with the help of guests photos so please feel free to send them in to us with comments. Thank you.
